Wild Garden #2
Wild Garden #2
This vibrant non-representational painting is a burst of organic colour and flowing forms. Large swirling shapes dominate the canvas, their edges blending and bleeding into one another in shades of deep purple, orange & sunshine yellow. Curving lines suggest petals and leaves, though no distinct flowers or plants are discernible. Instead, the shapes mimic the unrestrained growth and spread of nature, popping off the two-dimensional surface in an explosion of vivid hues. Within the main forms, thinner tendril-like lines weave a complex network, binding the composition together. Though non-figurative, the flowing movements and organic contours intuitively evoke impressions of an untamed garden in full bloom. A luscious, exuberant blend of colour and line brings to life the wild, beautiful chaos of nature's undergrowth in this vibrant abstract interpretation of an overgrown garden in the thralls of vibrant new growth.
